E. A. Lyman Landscape Architects is a Utah-based Landscape Architecture, Land Planning, and Urban Design consulting service founded by me, Eric Lyman, in 1988. Since that time, my team and I have consulted on a broad range of projects throughout the United States, Germany, Italy, and Iceland.

My Projects

My firm provides data, design, illustration, and support services for Architects, Engineers, Planners, Developers, and Landowners, as well as Government and Institutional Agencies. I have been involved in a variety of high-profile projects, including the Salt Lake City Federal Courts Building, Redwood Road Corridor Revitalization, The Huntsman Cancer Institute, Washington County Schools, and Water Conservation District Offices.

My Specialty

I bring a complement of expertise, knowledge, and professional experience particularly well suited to these projects. My capabilities and specialized skills are summarized below:

Large scale programming, planning, and design.
Expertise in proper plant selection (specializing in water-wise planting) and irrigation, as well as a full understanding of the maintenance requirements involved with these landscape facets.
Extensive background in comprehensive problem-solving with a focus on strategic planning, zoning and community impacts, and political feasibility.
Experience and understanding of the LEED certification process as it applies to landscape architecture and water-wise landscape design.
Graphic excellence, which allows others to conceive the project vision. My extensive experience in planning, design, and construction administration allows me to produce documents that accomplish the goals of the client, while also providing the direction necessary to make crucial decisions that affect the community for years to come.
